Long Beach Community Legal Center’s primary objective is to offer legal services to the underserved and working families of Long Beach and surrounding communities. The affluent often have access to attorneys and legal services while the less fortunate do not have the same legal opportunities due to financial limitations. As a result many working families are overwhelmed with the legal process. Long Beach Community Legal Center was launched in attempts to put justice in everyone’s reach. Many people do not assert their rights when faced with a legal crisis because they are unaware of their options and nonprofit organizations like Long Beach Community Legal Center that can provide free and low cost legal services. Some of the most common legal problems that our community faces include foreclosure, evictions, misdemeanors, felonies, traffic tickets, suspended licenses, and debt collection. Long Beach Community Legal Center and Attorney Jeffrey Katz, Legal Director, are dedicated to assisting the community in improving their quality of life by giving individuals access to the justice system, affordable attorneys and legal services. In addition to providing attorneys and legal services, this new program also focuses on educating the community. They host legal workshops and seminars on an array of legal topics so that working class families are aware of their options. Long Beach Community Legal Center will be celebrating their grand opening on March 8, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Church One located at 700 E. 70th St., Long Beach, CA 90805. The primary speaker will be the Honorable Mike Gibson, councilman for City of Carson, candidate for State Assembly. Their attorneys will also be present for free legal consultations.
