By: 360 Media, LLC About 360 Media and Sherpa: 360 Media is a full service film and television production company. 360 Media owns, develops and controls all of its content through private equity, venture capital firms and private investors. Two years ago, 360 Media founder/producer Robert Cord Beatty, (Beatty) set out on a quest to Nepal to film on the mountains and highest peaks surrounding Mount Everest in the creation of the documentary film SHERPA The Untold Story of Tenzing Norgay. About SHERPA: The story of SHERPA surrounds the untold truths about Tenzing Norgay and the Sherpa people. These untold stories surrounding the 1953 Summit of Mount Everest by Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary, have never given credit where credit was due to Tenzing Norgay. This humble, true mountaineering hero from Nepal did what no other man had ever done. On May 29th 1953, Tenzing Norgay led the epic Summit of what was considered the last un-conquered frontier known as Mount Everest. SHERPA enlightens the crucial necessity of these men. For those of us who attempt these treacherous climbs the Sherpa are vital for their success and safety. This ambitious film is the untold truth of the heroic 1953 summit of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Through the eyes of this producer, we see the true history and the importance of the mysteries of the Sherpa. Producer Robert Cord Beatty Stated: We are so very honored to be attending the show at this years annual MipDoc Documentary Film conference. Working on this film has been one of the most amazing experiences of my entire life. My partners and I have been so blessed by the true humility of the Sherpa people. They express a desire for the world to know the value and importance of the contribution of Tenzing Norgay as their country's hero. Compelled to tell the story of Norgay’s individual contribution to the success of Sir Edmund Hillary reaching the last un-conquered frontier known as Mount Everest, SHERPA became a reality. In today’s pursuit to attain the Summit of Mount Everest, it has become a rich man’s ego driven game. I am one individual and producer who can say that this experience and the friendships I have gained from the Sherpa people have truly changed my life. End
