Dr. Red Alinsod Vindicated Despite Negative Press

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - March 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Internationally respected Urogynecologist Red Alinsod, MD is setting the record straight about unfounded allegations surrounding a malpractice and battery lawsuit that was dismissed by the California court system in 2012, Ingrid Paulicivic and Joe Paulicivic v. Red Mateo Alinsod, M.D., et al., Superior of California, County of Orange, Central Justice Center, Case No. 30-2010-00405595-CU-MM-CJC. The false allegations were published in defamatory online articles in 2010, including one titled, “Dr. Red Alinsod Sued for Carving Name Into Woman's Uterus,” and their online presence remains an attack on Dr. Alinsod’s reputation.

“False accusations and gossip can harm reputations and destroy lives, especially in this case where a court of law dismissed these meritless claims,” said Dr. Red Alinsod. “My faith and belief in the legal system has given me the strength to speak out and to set the record straight.”

In 2009, Dr. Alinsod performed a hysterectomy on Ingrid Paulicivic and in 2010 she and her husband filed a lawsuit against the well-respected urogynecologic surgeon alleging that Dr. Alinsod “branded” her name on her removed uterus, took pictures and disclosed private medical information. The Superior Court of Orange County, California dismissed claims of medical malpractice and battery in February 2012 and the California Court of Appeals later dismissed an appeal. The Paulicivics then voluntarily dismissed their claims regarding improper disclosure of medical information.

Paulicivic’s accusations were false; yet, unfounded articles on several websites, including thesmokinggun.com and findlaw.com, continue to mar Dr. Alinsod’s reputation. “I can’t erase what has been posted,” Dr. Alinsod stated. “But the accusations are unfair and untrue so I felt that I needed to go on record to set the facts straight on these false allegations.”
