Maryland’s Crystal Wang Re-signs with Butterfly until 2015

WILSON, N.C. - April 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Butterfly is pleased to announce history-making Crystal Wang has re-signed as a Butterfly sponsored player.

The 12-year-old Crystal Wang recently earned the title of youngest USA Team Member in the history of USA Table Tennis. Crystal is a member of both the 2014 USA Table Tennis Women’s Team and the 2014 USA Table Tennis Girls Cadet Team.  In addition, Crystal achieved the Women’s Singles 21 & Under title at the 2013 U.S. National Table Tennis Championships and became the youngest to receive the title. As of April 1, Butterfly will provide table tennis equipment to the accomplished, young athlete.

According to USA Table Tennis’ Winter 2014 Magazine, Crystal is ranked no. 1 in Under 14 Girls and in Under 12 Girls. She currently holds a USA Table Tennis rating of 2396. She is also featured as one of the elite amature atheletes in "Faces in the Crowd" section of the current issue of Sports Illustrated Magazine (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/scorecard/faces/2014/4/7/index.html).

Crystal trains at the Maryland Table Tennis Center (MDTTC) in Gaithersburg, MD and her primary coach is Coach Jack Huang of MDTTC (http://mdttc.com).

Crystal Wang is a right-handed player and she is currently using a Butterfly Mizutani Jun (http://www.butterflyonline.com/inventoryD.asp?item_no=771...)shakehand blade with Tenergy 05 rubber on the forehand and Tenergy 64 rubber on the backhand.
