Susan C. Finelli Behind the Shadows Swim Strong Foundation Interview with Shawn Slevin

NEW YORK - April 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Susan Finelli Behind the Shadows Swim Strong Foundation interview with founder Shawn Slevin. Shawn believes that swimming is the best “womb to tomb sport.”

The Swim Strong Foundation is a nonprofit that saves and changes lives through the great sport of swimming. The Foundation supports community-based swim programs that guide children toward healthy lifestyles through exercise and competition; it provides financial assistance to ensure children have access to swim lessons; and supplies expertise and support to organizations that promote competitive swimming.

The Swim Strong Foundation saves lives by offering affordable swim programs. Its mission is to provide skills for life.

The Swim Strong Foundation was developed out of the swimming program Helen Covne coached at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church in Woodside, Queens. Shawn swam competitively in that program and stayed on as a coach.

The New York Chamber of Commerce nominated Shawn as one of its 2011 “Inspiring Women” candidates.
