Follow on Google News | ![]() Second Maritime & Coastal Security Conference & Exhibition AnnouncedThe second Maritime & Coastal Security Conference & Exhibition India 2014 will organised by Indian Military Review and National Maritime Foundation at New Delhi, India on 23-24 September 2014.
By: IMR Media Pvt Ltd Just last year, on 14 August 2014, the Indian Navy suffered a blow in the form of a devastating fire in one of its Kilo-class submarines, INS Sinshurakshak, which completely gutted it. The cause has still not been established. The first Maritime & Coastal Security Conference & Exhbition was held at Mumbai in the Western Naval Command facilities in October 2013 in the back drop of the Sindhurakshak incident. A few months later, an accident, belived to be sabotage on board another Kilo-class submarine, INS Sindhughosh, caused the death of two officers. The second phase of the Coastal Security Scheme is under implementation in India. The second edition of the Maritime & Coastal Security India Conference & Exhibition is being held at New Delhi on 23-24 September 2014. The National Maritime Foundation, a think tank of the Minsitry of Defence and Indian Military Review have joined hands once again to oragnise the event, which is the only one of its kind held in India. Bhujanga Rao, Director General (Naval Sciences) DRDO HQ. • Rear Adm KJ Kumar, DACIDS (Int B), HQ Integrated Defence Staff. • Rear Adm SP Lal, Chief Staff Officer (Tech), Western Naval Command. • Rear Adm R.K.
