Rockland Trust Provides Support for the area's hospice residence, the Pat Roche Hospice Home

HINGHAM, Mass. - June 12, 2014 - PRLog -- NVNA and Hospice, the only independent nonprofit home healthcare agency serving Boston’s South Shore, recently received a $75,000 donation from Rockland Trust for the area’s first non-profit hospice residence, the Pat Roche Hospice Home at Turkey Hill in Hingham.

The 12-bed non-profit hospice residence is open to anyone qualified to receive hospice services who cannot remain within their own home for end-of-life care. The NVNA Hospice Team provides the same level of care to patients living in the hospice residence as they do to patients living in their own homes. The focus of care is on providing physical, emotional, social and spiritual support for patients and their families. Patients have their own private room with bathroom, and can share common areas where family can gather and visit, such as library, tea room, a family lounge area with full kitchen, outside porch, and spectacular surrounding grounds.
