Less well-known are both his involvement in commercializing the PALMAZ coronary stent and his passion as an abstract expressionist artist, having sold his pieces for more than $1 million total. His latest endeavor is a restaurant “incubator” located in the Trinity Groves (http://www.trinitygroves.com/about/) development that is spurring a rebirth of West Dallas.
