In a world much like our own, people born with extraordinary powers are called 'Heroes'. In the mid 1990s, Heroes were banned from using their powers in public and forced to register their true identities or face arrest. As a result, all superhero teams of the time disbanded, filtering back into society. Today, Martin Molloy, or "Roadblock" as he used to be known, secretly uses his abilities to fight crime while reluctantly training up Hayley, a young teleporter to whom he owes his life. Meanwhile, The Church of the New Gods, a cult who worship superheroes, is making headlines and plans, thanks to its charismatic leader. At the same time, The Real Heroes, an anti-hero group with a violent secret, are ready to turn to desperate measures for media attention. In the middle of all this, an old eighties villain Martin once fought comes to him, begging for help. He is terrified Child Services are going to take his powered son away because of his history as The Savage. When the child subsequently goes missing from protective care, both groups come under suspicion and Martin and Hayley race to find the child before lives are put at risk. About Tony Cooper Tony is a 39 year old videogame level designer who lives in England and has finally decided to write down all those stories in his head.
