The York Dungeon launches search for its alternative Carnivàle Queen

YORK, U.K. - July 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Roll up, roll up, the search is on as The York Dungeon calls for Carnivàle Queens with a difference to step right up as it launches the hunt to find its own royal to reign over its sensational summer sideshow, Carnivàle.

There is a catch however, as the fiendishly fun attraction isn’t looking for the usual sequins and glamour, pose and poise, but a Carnivàle Queen (or even King) with a difference. This isn’t a traditional role where the conventional beauty wins, it’s a search for someone who can encapsulate the York Dungeon carnival spirit. People from all walks of life and all shapes and sizes are encouraged to apply.

The York Dungeons’ regal ruler will be selected and crowned on Friday 1^st August, which is also Yorkshire Day and all prospective Carnivàle Queens will need to do to enter is submit their photos, along with a few lines or 140 characters of why they’re the best person for the job and email york.dungeons@merlinentertainments.biz, or upload to Facebook facebook.com/TheYorkDungeonor Twitter twitter.com/ YorkDungeon (https://twitter.com/sealifebham) using the hashtag, #carnivalequeen.

The shortlisted candidates will be contacted by The York Dungeon and invited to attend the coronation, which will take place outside the scarily fun attraction at 11am on 1^st August. The winner will then be scrutinised and selected by the Dungeon’s very own courtroom judge before being crowned the alternative Carnivàle Queen 2014.

The reigning winner will also receive a Family York Dungeon Annual Pass, a Dungeon Hamper* and a Family meal for four people at Nandos**.

The fabulous Carnivàle sideshow runs from 25^th July to 1^st September and will star a cast of cheeky and colourful characters, from the darkly entertaining Ringmaster Walter to the mischievous Madame Caroline. Visitorswill be encouraged to try their hand on the wheel of misfortune and should prepare to be amazed in the discombobulating Hall of Mirrors (http://www.thedungeons.com/york/en/explore-the-dungeon/lo...). Whatever happens they’re guaranteed a day to remember.
