Announcing Our Week of Smiles!

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Aug. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- This week ECI is highly involving themselves for an inspiring cause, Operation Smile. Operation Smile is an international medical humanitarian organization with a mission to help needy children with a cleft lip or palate. Approximately 1 in 500 to 700 children are born with a cleft lip or palate. 1 in every 10 children that are born with clefts die under the age of 5. 12% of children born with clefts die before the age of 5. Babies born with cleft palate often suffer from low birth weight and can have trouble feeding. Children with a cleft palate who do not receive surgery by the age of 10 will have lifelong speech issues. In some developing countries, there is only 1 surgeon for every 400,000 people. ECI will be going to local companies asking for donations for this fundraiser, we are then having the donors participate in a 50/50 raffle. 50% of the proceeds will go to Operation Smile and back to the contributing winner of the ticket. Elite could not be more excited to be participating in such a motivating organization for such a important and loving cause.
