Cynexis Announces Brand-New Social Network Wear This One

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Aug. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Wear This One is a new social network created to help members gain confidence and look their best with unbiased fashion advice from their global community. Inspired by a personal fashion crisis of nine weddings in one summer, Laura Bettinger founded Wear This One to help men and women make difficult fashion choices.  Laura hired Cynexis Media to turn her idea into the reality of an engaging, interactive community platform that has remarkable social interaction.

Cynexis planned, designed and programmed this exciting, new, and customized web application using creative open source technologies such as Javascript, jQuery, WordPress and AJAX libraries. Team Cynexis including our project managers, web designers, UI developers and programming experts spent three months working to bring Bettinger’s vision to life. The dynamic Wear This One website includes great profile features such as:

·         My Looks: Users upload their own photos of their outfits

·         My Favorites: Photos from the community favorited by the user

·         My Collections: Users can organize favorites into collections

·         Find Friends: Users connect with other fashionistas and follow their profiles

Cynexis also integrated social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Google+, and Instagram into the website.

The highlight of Wear This One is the Style Me feature. Users upload up to four different looks with relevant information (title, category, occasion, and deadline) in an interactive post, and other users vote on their favorites. If a user has already styled a fashion-forward look, they can show it off to other users by uploading it to the Inspire Me section. The Inspire Me photo gallery is also populated by archived Style Me posts, with gold frames indicating which look is the community’s favorite. If the Inspire Me photo gallery overwhelms the user with all its fashionable options, a user can do a keyword search on the entire website, just for photos, or only for Style Me posts that are still open for votes.

Aside from programming all the technical elements of the Wear This One social networking website, Cynexis also created the original designs. With a background in branding, identity, and logos, our team of graphic artists designed an understated, classic custom logo that integrates seamlessly with the overall website design. The home page also features three custom, interactive icons that represent the website’s three main calls-to-action: Vote on Best Look, Get Styled, and Get Inspiration. These icons reappear in a more animated form in the website’s footer.
