IRVINE, Calif. - Aug. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP (http://www.cdflaborlaw.com/) (CDF), a leading California labor and employment law firm celebrating 20 years protecting California employers’ “time, dime and peace of mind,” welcomes new partner Richard Green (http://www.cdflaborlaw.com/attorneys/bio/richard-m.-green) to its growing immigration practice. Green, formerly in private practice in Huntington Beach, will serve as chair of CDF’s immigration practice group, guiding California employers through complex immigration matters.

Green leverages 15 years of experience to offer strategic counsel for employer immigration matters including work visas, employer-sponsored green cards and overseas consular matters.

He represents employers being audited by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on employment eligibility issues, the US Department of Labor for immigrant wage and hour audits and the US Department of Justice in immigration related unfair employment practices. He also helps foreign investors navigate the EB-5 Immigrant Investor process.

“I’m pleased to join a firm as well-respected as CDF in the California legal community, and to be given the opportunity to help grow its immigration practice,” said Green. “I’ve devoted my career to immigration law and look forward to helping California employers who wish to obtain the best employees for a given position, regardless of their country of origin.”

Since 1998, Green has helped employers navigate challenges and changing mandates associated with U.S. immigration law. He assists local businesses in obtaining the legal documentation and status they need to hire the best employee for a job. At CDF, Green will continue to serve employers seeking to obtain immigration status for qualified employees and their family members.

“Rick has an outstanding reputation within the immigration legal community in California and his addition to the CDF team was a natural fit,” said CDF Managing Partner Marie DiSante (http://www.cdflaborlaw.com/attorneys/bio/marie-disante). “As CDF continues to grow, an expanded immigration practice will help us to provide well-rounded solutions to all California employment matters.”

In addition to his immigration practice, Green, who served in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, donates his time to the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Military Assistance Project.  This project assists military personnel and their family members facing complex immigration issues. As CDF celebrates its 20th anniversary with a partnership with Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/), the firm’s attorneys and staff members are happy to welcome Green’s established support of the U.S. troops.

Green is a graduate of Trinity Western University in Canada and received his law degree from the Fowler School of Law at Chapman University. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Orange County Bar Association, where he serves as Chair of the Immigration Section, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the State Bar of California. In 2013, Green was recognized as Alumnus of the Year from the Fowler School of Law, where he currently is an adjunct professor teaching immigration law.
