SEATTLE - Aug. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Lorien Clemens, director of marketing for Pet Hub, Inc., is the big winner in the annual Pet Industry Woman of the Year Award competition, voted the winner from a field of more than 50 nationwide entrepreneurs & executives.

Clemens was on-hand to accept the honor, which was announced this past weekend at the Women in the Pet Industry Conference and Awards Show in Portland, Ore. This annual conference and Pet Industry Woman of the Year competition are put on by Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPIN), the industry-leading organization focused on women entrepreneurs.

Lorien Clemens joined PetHub, Inc., in June 2011 as the little start-up was just closing its initial seed funding from Seattle, Washington, Angel investor groups. Clemens was able to create a shoestring budget and help take PetHub.com from 3,000 users to the over 100,000 users on the site today, including building a Facebook fan following of over 70,000 users. Clemens has guided PetHub to its wins of multiple pet industry awards, including Dog Fancy Magazine's "Editors' Choice Award," the Pet AGE Magazine's "Retailer Silver Select Award," and Pet Business Magazine's "Product of the Year Award" for its unique digital ID tags and online services. In addition, Clemens participated in PetHub's 2013 Series A round of funding bringing PetHub's Angel investments to over $1.75 million dollars.
