Michelle DeShon Makes Her Mark On USA's Hit Show "Satisfaction"

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Michelle DeShon's incredible entertainment success is a fairy-tale story, one that doesn't happen often in this industry.

Michelle plays the strong headed daughter, "Anika Truman", on the hit USA Network Show, "Satisfaction."  Anika is a 16-year-old, who faces teenage angst in finding her place, while refusing to compromise and conform to what others may want from her. A lot for anyone to handle all while her parents' marriage is spiraling out of control!

The show, which is getting high accolades, also stars Matt Passmore (The Glades), Stephanie Szostak (Devil Wears Prada) and Blair Redford (Switched At Birth).

Thousands travel to Hollywood annually to realize their dream. Michelle had that dream too at  a very early age. She dreamt of being a successful actress and making it in Hollywood. Starting in community theater, Michelle played a Munchkin in "Wizard of Oz" at five and "Oliver" at the age of ten, then continued acting throughout High School. Attending public school, Michelle participated in the High School Choir, as well as, was a Senior Senator for her peers.

Michelle grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington (near Seattle), a very picturesque small town on Puget Sound, where her family raised cows, llamas, sheep, pigs and horses. She spent a lot of time in horse 4H and playing polocross, as she had no TV. Interesting that someone without a TV had a dream to be an actress!

After High School, Michelle turned down university admissions, packed her car and traveled to Hollywood to pursue her dream. She attended Glendale College, got an agent and manager and started auditioning. Just two years into pursuing her dream, she auditioned for "Satisfaction" to play the role of Anika Truman. She didn't realize that the role called for singing, nor playing a guitar. She had to think of a song quickly as she was waiting to audition and selected one that she had just heard on the radio driving to her audition.

Not knowing how to play guitar, she continued through the audition process for this role and finally when she went to "Network", she had borrowed a kids guitar, from her eleven year old neighbor and had learned a song after seven guitar lessons in five days. She went into the Network session and 'nailed' it! They loved her and they loved her talent! They also loved her beautiful mane of curly hair, which hasn't been seen much since the early days of actress Keri Russell in "Felicity".

A great story of a small town girl making it in Hollywood. Michelle does find time for herself and loves yoga, hiking, fruity ice cream, as well as, Chinese food. She has a great supportive family, her Dad, Mom and older brother, who is in the Navy.

Michelle is a beautiful, smart, young talented lady who is making her mark on "Satisfaction", however, she still has a lot that she'd like to accomplish and reflects on one of her favorite quotes often.....
