California Women Lawyers Elects Executive Committee

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sept. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- California Women Lawyers (CWL) elected its 2014-2015 Board of Governors Executive Committee. Sworn into their positions by Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye of the California Supreme Court at the CWL 40th Annual Dinner earlier this month, the new officers are:

•President-Elect -  Kelly Robbins, Robbins Family Law

•First Vice President - Christine Chambers Goodman, Pepperdine University School of Law

•Second Vice President - Michelle Brauer Abidoye, Ford & Harrison LLP

•Secretary - Toni Mims-Cochran, Law Office of Toni Mims-Cochran

•Treasurer -  Renee Galente, Galente Ganci, APC

•Member At Large - Naomi Dewey, Hardin & Coffin

•Member At Large - Audra Ibarra, Law Office of Audra Ibarra

In addition to the installation of the new officers and Board of Governors, the CWL Annual Dinner, a part of the State Bar Annual Meeting held in San Diego on Sept. 11, featured a keynote address by Justice Joyce L. Kennard. The Honorable Lynn Schenk was also presented the Fay Stender Award at the Annual Dinner.

The CWL board members oversee numerous committees and further the organization’s goal of advancing women in the legal profession.

California Women Lawyers is the only statewide bar association dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the profession of law and society.
