The 2014 Ohio State University African American Alumni Society Gala

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The honorees for the 2014 Ohio State University African American Alumni Society have been announced. They include Stephanie Hightower, Dr. Judson L. Jeffries, Eric Dean Seaton, and Minnie McGee. They will be honored during the Alumni Gala Saturday evening October 18, 2014 at the Airport Marriott in Columbus, Ohio. Performing at the Gala will be multi-platinum selling R&B artist Miki Howard.

Stephanie Hightower will receive the Jesse Owens Influential Athlete award. She is being recognized for her exceptional leadership and contributions to the community as a former Ohio State student-athlete.

Dr. Judson L. Jeffries will receive the Frank W. Hale, Jr. Honorary Leadership Award for his demonstrated devotion to the African American community at Ohio State University and his significant involvement in elevating African American students.

Minnie McGee will be honored with the Larry Williamson Distinguished Service Award for her contributions to African American engineering students and being a beacon of guidance during their successful navigation to graduation.

Eric Dean Seaton is being awarded the Samella Lewis Professional Achievement Award for his signification contributions and achievements as a director in the television and film industries.
