Ziker Cleaners to Begin 28th Year of Collecting ‘Coats for Kids’

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Oct. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Ziker Cleaners has kicked off its 28th year of collecting ‘Coats for Kids’ . Collection will continue through Saturday, December 6^th at all eight store (8) locations in South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger and Elkhart.

After Ziker collects and cleans the coats, they will be distributed through local school corporations in early-December prior to the holidays. “The need for coats to help keep our community’s children warm and healthy is on going year after year,” says Jennifer Probst, Retail Sales Director of Ziker Cleaners & Shirt Laundry. “Residents and businesses of Michiana have supported our business for over 95 years. We feel it’s our obligation to give back to our community through this annual outreach program,” Probst concluded.

By far the greatest need is for child size machine washable coats that can be easily maintained after they are distributed, but winter coats of any type and size are welcome.

Since 1986, Ziker has collected and distributed over 245,000 coats.

Ziker Cleaners is a third generation family business that has served Michiana since 1917.
