TV Star Cocoa Brown Starring In Shelly Garrett's "Beauty Shop" in Los Angeles One Night Only!!!

COCOA BROWN will be starring in a one-night only performance of Shelly Garrett’s “Beauty Shop”, the most successful Urban stage play in theater history according to the Los Angeles Times. This one-night only production will take place Friday, October 24, 2014 at 8pm at the Wilshire Ebell Theater and is Executive Produced by Kim Whitley, star of the docu-series “Raising Whitley” on OWN.

The fiery performer, whose credits include a starring role in Tyler Perry’s critically acclaimed comedy series “For Better or Worse” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network and a recurring role on the Byron Allen-produced “The First Family", has assembled an extensive body of work, including performing on top rated comedy shows including BET’s “Comic View” and “One Mic Stand”, and “Showtime at the Apollo”.

Today, she exemplifies mind-blowing humor, daring drama and contemporary reality wrapped in a boundlessly energetic package. Whether she is performing at Kennedy Center Honors in honor of the incomparable Richard Pryor or acting in films such as “Lakeview Terrace” with Samuel L. Jackson, Brown exudes skill and discipline.
