The 'Oxygen Ball: Midlands Dancing with the Stars' Competition to be Sponsored by Land Rover Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- An evening full of glitz and glamour is planned as the American Lung Association hosts their 4th Annual 'Oxygen Ball: Midlands Dancing with the Stars' competition on Friday, November 7 at 701 Whaley in downtown Columbia. The festivities will run from 7:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. In addition to the food, drink, and an entertaining dance competition featuring local celebrities, sponsor Land Rover Columbia will be displaying the full luxury line-up of thrilling new Land Rover vehicles.

Guests at this gala affair can expect to wine and dine at the historic 701 Whaley building, one of downtown Columbia’s most popular venues, while being entertained by five local celebrities squaring off in the Dancing with the Stars contest.

Paired with a professional dancer from the local UNBOUND Dance Co., each celebrity will take part in instruction and practice sessions at the Columbia Music Festival Association to prepare for the competition. This year’s celebrity dancers include:

Kortni Koutrakos – Midlands Personal Health Champion, Twisted Sister Boot Camp

Clare Morris – CEO, Clare Morris Agency, Inc.

Elizabeth Tuller – Midlands Community Advocate and Volunteer, Shine a Light Foundation

The Master of Ceremonies will be Tim James, Executive Director of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation and a runner-up in the 2013 Midlands Dancing with the Stars competition.

The Midlands Oxygen Ball is one of the major annual fundraisers for the American Lung Association in South Carolina. The money raised will go to support their efforts to improve lung health and prevent lung disease through research, advocacy, community service, and education.
