First Art And Social Media Site For “WASTELAND” Film

LANSING, Mich. - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- The star casting of Part 1 is now complete. Actors DJ Perry (Dean Teaster’s Ghost Town), David Gries (America’s Most Haunted) and Nicholas X. Parson (Pain & Gain) prepare to suit up for travel to a distant world. As Gray Day Films LLC and Collective Development Inc. prep the picture director Kevin Buchholz decided to share five things of note about this toxic far away planet that will be the setting for our series of stories.

About the WASTELAND

1. The desert planet wasteland has a single moon - the lush forest moon of Gaia. Much of its terrain is mountainous.

2. Sky Marshals act as both military and police on the moon and desert wasteland. They are recruited from Gaia exclusively.

3. The primary religion of both Gaia and the desert wasteland is simply referred to as "the faith". It is a monotheistic religion led by priests known as "clerics". The primary temples of the faith are on Gaia itself, though clerics often roam the desert wasteland spreading the faith wherever possible.

4.The desert wasteland is pelted with toxic radiation from its sun and only 20% of the planet has protective layers of atmosphere left. People left exposed to unprotected areas of the planet will develop lesions and sores on their skin after prolonged exposure. The most common cause of death in the desert wasteland results from plague lesions within the lungs and other internal organs. It is unknown exactly how 80% of the desert wasteland's atmosphere was decimated, but it's rumored that the Gaian authorities are to blame.

5. Though Gaia has federal authority over the citizens of the desert wasteland, most citizens of the wasteland treat Gaia with total hostility. Multiple rebel groups wage war for independence from Gaia at any given time and five major crime lords control huge swaths of land across the desert wasteland.

The film starts shooting Part 1 in December and will continue shooting additional segments in 2015. Stay tune for many more exciting updates on this project.
