Motion Sensors, Inc. announces IECEx Certification

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - Oct. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Motion Sensors is proud to announce IECEx Certification of Intrinsically Safe Pickup Coils and Preamplifiers, demonstrating compliance to IEC 60079-0:2011 and IEC 60079-11:2011. All certified sensors are covered by “Ex ia” protection and are classified by Groups IIA, IIB, IIC with a temperature classification of T2 to T6. The IECEx certification assures global acceptance of MSI product lines in explosive atmospheres.

Motion Sensors product lines covered under the certification include: PC45 and RF10 Series Intrinsically Safe Pickups; DMX, DRX, HX, HDX, HNX, MRX, and MRDX Series Intrinsically Safe Pickups; and PMX & PRX Series Amplified Intrinsically Safe Preamplifiers. Sensor technologies include variable reluctance (VR), RF (eddy current), amplified, and hall effect.

In 2011, Motion Sensors earned certification to the aerospace quality standard, AS9100, by Bureau Veritas. The AS9100 certification provides assurance to all customers that MSI products and services meet additional quality requirements for use in the aerospace industry. MSI is currently ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 C registered in accordance with AS9104/1.
