Thompson to host Hybrid/Electric Safety Seminar for Emergency Responders

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Oct. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- The Thompson Organization will hold a Safety Seminar for Hybrid/Electric vehicles for local emergency first responders on Thursday, November 6th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Thompson Toyota Service Center.

Local firefighters, police and ambulance workers will receive an up-close and under-the-hood education on some of the most popular hybrids and electric cars on the road today including the Toyota Prius, Lexus RX350h and the all electric BMW i3. This seminar will provide emergency workers, the knowledge and understanding of what to do in a rescue situation involving a hybrid or electric vehicle.

Factory trained hybrid and electric technicians will walk participants through each vehicles safety features and address common questions and concerns first responders may have when dealing with a hybrid or electric vehicle emergency.

More than 3 million hybrids and electric vehicles are on the road today and that number continues to climb. Education is key to safety, and Thompson is proud to provide this community service.
