Veterans and Teens Bridging A Generational Gap

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - Nov. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- On November 11, 2014 Pizza Day of Stockbridge, Georgia - a local pizza restaurant will kick off their Community Week Grand Opening Celebration with a Veteran's Day Community Event.

Louddmouthradio.com & Pizza Day are inviting students in the local area to connect with veterans at the Stockbridge pizzeria restaurant. Pairing kids that come from different walks of life and backgrounds with people who understand dedication of training, discipline, commitment can cause an amazing and immediate impact. Many of our veterans know all too well, how important critical thinking is to survive in dangerous places and situations.

Veterans are able to have conversations that may resignate with teens on a different level than most. Due to so much violence that is happening in schools and home,  it is taking a toll on young people especially if they also face challenges with families that work long hours, poverty, broken family homes, social non-acceptance or jailed parents. Some teens cope through drinking, drugs or gangs, which in turn, can fuel violent and emotional behavior.

Many vets can relate and feel proud to share their success stories. It provides a sense of purpose, something many who leave the military struggling to find.
