Toronto's Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year is Making a Splash

TORONTO - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- On Thursday November 6th, the president & founder of AquaMobile Swim School, Diana Goodwin (@DianaMGoodwin (https://twitter.com/dianamgoodwin)), was named Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year at the Toronto Region Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards 2014.

The Business Excellence Awards (http://www.bot.com/events/marquee-events/business-excellence-awards-2014/Pages/default.aspx) recognizes the valuable contribution of the region's small and medium businesses and honour emerging entrepreneurs who have demonstrated outstanding growth, leadership and innovation in business. The Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award recognizes a high-achieving 'one-to-watch' whose business has seen rapid, innovation-driven growth, achieved by disrupting the status quo to spark and influence industry transformation. The business has been in operation for five years or less, with the 'emerging entrepreneur' controlling the core day-to-day management responsibilities for at least the two most recent years. Goodwin’s entrepreneurial endeavours began in 2003, when she started a business very similar to AquaMobile where she would travel to clients’ pools to teach lessons. After spending several years as a Management Consultant at Bain & Company, she went on to obtain her MBA at Kellogg School of Management in 2011 where she built out her business plan to start AquaMobile with ambitions of becoming the largest at-home swim lesson provider across North America.
