Ridgway, the lead counsel at the probate litigation firm, Ridgway Law Group, P.S., will be delivering a presentation at the Washington State Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Event on Friday, December 5th.
The conference is designed to provide an educational opportunity for attorneys to learn about pressing issues in the area of estate planning. Through an entire day’s worth of panels and presentations, physical and virtual attendees will stay abreast of the latest legal developments to enable them to provide the most relevant counsel to clients. It is an approved event that counts for six Continuing Legal Education credits including 5.25 general credits and .75 ethics credits. Attorney Ridgway’s presentation, “Current TEDRA Issues and Updates”, will start off the conference at 8:30am. In her presentation, Ms. Ridgway will discuss issues of the Washington Trust and Estate Dispute Resolution Act, and how these issues coincide with case law and variations in application. Other issues addressed at the conference include accounting requirements, death deed transfer, cross-border trust issues and tax planning ethics. Tuition to the event is $225. Tickets include complementary coffee and pastries in the morning, and access to all panels throughout the day.
