Weledo Published Tigrinya Books Included for Collection in Canadian and Swedish Municipal Libraries

WINNIPEG, Manitoba - Dec. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Swedish and Canadian public libraries have started regular collection of Tigrinya book materials published by Weledo Publications. The books are made available for members borrowing and general public accesses, having become part of those libraries' collection.

The Toronto Reference Library, located in Toronto Canada, is the city's largest and notable municipal library system. So far, it is the only major municipal library in Canada to have included all of Weledo's Tigrinya books into the library's cataloged collections.

Sweden's largest and extensive library, Stockholms stadsbibliotek or the Stockholm City Library has also cataloged Weledo's Tigrinya books (under several catalog classifications) for a permanent collection.

Many multilingual books from across the world are to be found in abundance throughout major library systems in the Western countries. However, there has so far been less than adequate (or in most cases none) Tigrinya books that were collected for public reference in such a manner. Such an issue usually creates a knock on effect in scarcity of such materials for client school systems that utilize them as part of various learning activities (especially those that relate to education in multiculturalism).

There exists a realistic expectation that in the coming 6 - 12 months, several more public libraries throughout north America and Western European cities would also start cataloging of Weledo published Tigrinya books into their permanent records.//End.
