Doc Scantlin & His Imperial Palms Orchestra Celebrates New Website Launch

The new and completely redesigned website brings fans, events and media together on new Doc Scantlin website

WASHINGTON - Dec. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Forbes Magazine calls them the “World's Best Band", but that's not enough of a superlative to completely describe the experience of being in the company of the incomparable Doc Scantlin and his Imperial Palms Orchestra. When Doc struts to the stage, the audience is transported back to the high life immortalized by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the Great Gatsby. Shake over ice, add a twist of jazz and you get Scantlin’s loving homage to the music of the era with the group bringing down the house when everything old becomes new again. Speaking of everything old becoming new again, the orchestra has given their web presence a face-lift with a brand new web design complete with new photography, new music, new videos, and a impressive list of client testimonials.

Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra partnered up with Transmultimedia, Inc., a New York City based creative services company to develop the new site. The website seamlessly brings the music and style of the jazz era into the 21st century with the addition of interactive music, video and media galleries along with client testimonials. The site is also structured with the integration of many social media features which encourages cross platform sharing.

“We are really excited and proud of our new website," explains Doc & Chou Chou (pronounced Shoo Shoo) Scantlin. “Through the website, Transmultimedia told a story of who we are that really feels like us! They presented us in a professional but entertaining way that portrays what and who we are to those who don't know us, as well as recognizable to those that do.”

Richard Zampella, Managing Partner of Transmultimedia stated that, “The inherent challenge to developing the site was incorporating the use of web based technologies that would not detract from this pre and post World War II era. For example, the MP3 player became a stylized radio player based on a 1939 Philco console radio. I think we created something that is neither old or new, it is a combination of the both.”

In addition to giving the old site a dramatic "face-lift," the Orchestra has been working on a re-tooled song lists for weddings and corporate events, parties and public concerts. They continue to solidify their position as the most demanded Washington, D.C. Society Band.
