Ghost Kollective Curates Free Sci-Fi Themed Remix Album with ccMixter.org

SAN DIEGO - Jan. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Today ArtisTech Media is proud to announce the release of Part Way There – Remixed, a free album of remixes created by the ccMixter.org community in partnership with Ghost Kollective. The album is a curation of the band's favorite remixes from a special remix project on ccMixter where Ghost Kollective released their stems from its conceptual, sci-fi theme EP Part Way There – 61 Moons.

Formed across time zones and continents, Ghost K includes long-time ccMixter community beloved members CDK, _Ghost and Tacet.

“The remix album is a beautiful reflection of all the things we've grown to love about ccMixter and Creative Commons,” Tacet shares.  “The remixes are diverse, stylish and surprising.  The remix album relates to the original by way of lineage, we provided the DNA for each of the tracks and the community made exciting new creations from our building blocks.”

CDK agreed, “Absolutely. ccMixter provides some of the best creative minds on the internet and it is a privilege to work with a community of friends.  This album has a very unique sound that reflects the wide array of talent involved while still keeping true to our Ghost Kollective sound.

“It's a view from a different perspective,” _Ghost added.  “Some elements are familiar, but you can discover a variety of new details.”

“We all have a shared love for music that tells a story, across an album,” Tacet explains.  “It's the polar opposite of what we'd done before with our other ccMixter remixes and collaborations, where each song is an island.   We've been busting for some time to write a short science fiction story, so it seemed like a good idea to combine those two things; music and short story.”
