JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Jan. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- March is designated as National Women’s History month with the theme: “Weaving the Stories of Women’s Lives.” Military spouse entrepreneur, Melissa St. Clair, Owner of Paper Chaser will be an exhibitor to represent portable careers and share her entrepreneurial story at a special event Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 9:30am to 2:30pm at Marston Pavilion, 730 Seth Williams Blvd, Camp Lejeune, NC, 28547.

The event: “A New Mission: Military Women as Entrepreneurs” presented by the Women's Business Center of North Carolina and the Small Business Center at Coastal Carolina Community College is a one day event for the female veterans who have served their country with honor and for active duty female military personnel who continue to serve with distinction. It is also for the women who stand on the frontlines domestically, holding down the fort and holding the family together while their active duty service members are deployed,” stated St. Clair

St. Clair continued, “I look forward to sharing first-hand the benefits of having a portable career and working from a virtual office as viable options for women who have entrepreneurial ambitions. Becoming a Virtual Assistant (VA) is a portable career option for service members who are transitioning from active duty. With proper planning, it’s a flexible way for business start-up before exiting active duty or upon EAS (end of active service). As a Marine Corps spouse, I value the flexibility of being a VA given the unique challenges of frequent moves and the distinct demands on time for military spouses. This event will afford attendees the opportunity to interact with other like-minded professionals in and around our military community.”
