Edge Promotions’ Leader Returns from Mexico, Discusses Travel

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- A group of Edge Promotions’ managers and leading team members benefitted greatly from their retreat to Cancun. There they stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, alongside other professionals who came to network and receive recognition awards for their impact on the marketing industry. Sahil indicated that this is an annual excursion.

“This year’s retreat was to Cancun,” he said. “It was absolutely beautiful! We had a great time relaxing together. There were also a lot of opportunities to network. I am pleased that the top performers who accompanied me had the chance to learn from some of the best in the country.”

One of the central events during the trip was an award ceremony in recognition of the most outstanding accomplishments and individuals from 2014. This, along with several other get-togethers, provided ample opportunity for Sahil and his team to network with other professionals and to discuss the latest in marketing and promotions.

“Our stay was wonderful,” he said. “The resort was truly luxurious.” While at the Hard Rock Hotel, the team was able to visit a variety of spas and pools, dine at several restaurants, and even play a world-class golf course.

Sahil cited that the many benefits of retreats include having time to reflect, relaxing and reenergizing, and potentially recruiting new team members. However, the most important outcome, he stated, is building team relationships.

While in Cancun, the Edge Promotions team enjoyed several bonding activities. These included a trip to see Mayan ruins, swimming with dolphins, and visits to the local beach club. Sahil reported that these were extremely successful.

“Constantly working on our relationships is important,” he asserted. “Interacting outside the office helps us build trust and establish deeper connections to each other. This pays off when we’re back at work because our collaboration becomes more cohesive and streamlined.”

Even when they were just relaxing by the pool or enjoying drinks, the team had the chance to see each other in a new light. The networking events and learning opportunities also filled the group with energy and excitement.
