Red Bar Owner Opens Destin Florida DinerOliver Petit, Owner of Red Bar, Buys Longtime Vacant Diner and Reopens in Destin, Florida.
By: Garrett Realty Services Inc. Petit says there were many renovations to be made inside but has left the exterior to keep the same retro appeal. The entire inside had to be refurbished as it was left empty for so many years. Unlike his other restaurants, the diner will be open late hours with breakfast available at any time. The menu will include traditional breakfast and lunch dishes as well as some Red Bar menu items and a full bar. The diner will seat about 100 people in red cushioned booths with marble floors and eclectic wall décor. “We are thrilled to bring back the iconic Destin Diner and look forward to serving Destin locals and visitors. We aim to provide a family atmosphere with excellent service and food at a reasonable price,” says Petit. We are thrilled as well and look forward to the grand opening March 1st. Oli Petit opened the Red Bar 20 years ago and it attracts people nationwide with its unique atmosphere and famous menu including Panne Chicken and Blackened Grouper. It’s located in Grayton Beach and has a live Jazz band that plays in-house. Louis Louis opened in Santa Rosa Beach in 2013 with the same flair and similar menu. In spring of 2014, the next generation of Petits opened Bric a Brac in Destin. The restaurant also has regular live music and a night club upstairs. With famous sugar white sand and emerald waters, regular events and award-winning restaurants, Destin continues to be on travel lists for top destinations. The Petits’ restaurants are popular stops for locals as well as tourists. Affordable vacation rentals are available along the Emerald Coast from the Destin Harbor all the way to Seagrove Beach. End
