He has been an adult Bible study teacher at Southern Baptist and nondenominational churches since 1994 and a supply preacher in the San Felipe and Big Bend Baptist Associations. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, was a U.S. Army officer and worked 27 years as a Product Marketing Engineer at Texas Instruments.
