March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Pittsford, New York – The 2015 edition of the annual Campgrounds and RV Parks Guide published by Campground Owners of New York (CONY), is now available for free upon request online at www.nycampgrounds.com, sending mailing information to info@nycampgrounds.com, or by calling toll-free (800) 497-2669.

The guide provides detailed service and amenity information for 200+ CONY campgrounds and RV parks. But the guide is more than just a list of parks. According to Suzanne Bixby, CONY marketing and communications director, readers will enjoy the guide’s magazine-style quality, featuring engaging editorial and referrals related to the theme, “Hit the Trail to New York Camping.”

Bixby says, “New York State has a vast network of trails for hiking, biking, boating, driving and more. Travelers can follow thematic trails for food, wine, history, the arts - even hauntings! Whether hitting the road or going off the beaten path, campers staying at CONY parks can use this guide to blaze a trail to adventure in New York.”

The cover image on the camping guide shows Ausable River Chasm near Plattsburgh, NY, as photographed from the Ausable Chasm Overlook, a stopping point along the Lakes to Locks Passage, one of three America’s Byways® in New York State, a component of the National Scenic Byway Program.

Bixby notes the camping guide also includes useful tips from GoRVing.com on setting up camp, and advertisements and information from New York vacation regions and attractions.

A recent blog post, also entitled, “Hit the Trail to New York Camping” (http://www.nycampgrounds.com/blog) is a timely companion piece to the new guide, with ideas and links to New York trail systems.
