By: Paper Chaser The 5th Annual Spring Fling and Resources Fair is a family-friend event for families of wounded, ill and injured Marines and designated Sailors attached to or in support of Marine units in support of Marine units at WWBn-E. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about services and resources available to support them as they return to duty or transition to civilian life as they return to duty or transition to civilian life. “I look forward to sharing first-hand the benefits of having a portable career and working from a virtual office as viable options for transitioning service members and military spouses who have entrepreneurial ambitions and Administrative, Creative or Technical skill sets. Becoming a Virtual Assistant (VA) is a portable career option for service members who are transitioning from active duty. With proper planning, it’s a flexible way for business start-up before exiting active duty or upon EAS (end of active service). As a Marine Corps spouse, I value the flexibility of being a VA given the unique challenges of frequent moves and the distinct demands on time for military spouses. This event will afford attendees the opportunity to interact directly with exhibitors to gain knowledge about resources in and around our military community in a relaxed environment,” PAPER CHASER is a virtual-based company owned by military spouse, Melissa Whiteford St. Clair. Since 2006, PAPER CHASER has been helping busy solopreneurs get out from behind the desk and back into their business to focus on sales, service and networking by handling a variety of administrative tasks such as: client communications, internet research, project assistance and more. About WWBn-E: Wounded Warrior Battalion-East provides continuous, far-reaching leadership to wounded, ill, or seriously injured Marines and designated Sailors worldwide in order to ensure all wounded warriors and families successfully transition back to full duty or civilian life.
