Milner, Inc. Announces “Technology JumpStart Your Nonprofit” Winners

April 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Tampa, FL -- Milner, Inc., a technology company and full-service provider of innovative office solutions, has just announced the winners of the company sponsored “Technology JumpStart Your Nonprofit” contest to provide technology makeovers to two nonprofit groups located in Tampa Bay area.

After a total of 44,000online votes from passionate supporters were tallied, the winning organizations were Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation and Humane Society of Pinellas. Both organizations were selected by public voting for a nonprofit with 15 or less employees and 16 or more employees, respectively.

Each winner, one from each voting category, will receive an office technology makeover designed to improve the efficiency of the nonprofit by enhancing its technological capabilities. Representatives from Milner will visit the offices of both winners to do a thorough assessment of their current situation and tailor a custom makeover to fulfill their specific technology needs.

The makeovers, worth a combined value of $35,000, may include, but are not limited to: IT consulting, network support and equipment, document management solutions, telephony equipment and services, multifunction printers, and other solutions designed to enhance the capabilities of the organization.

The finalists were selected out of 107 participants. The final round of online voting ran March 16-31^st, 2015. The winning nonprofits were announced this afternoon during our awards presentation, held at Milner’s Tampa office.

·         Berkley Accelerated Middle School/Polk Pre-Collegiate Academy

·         Clearwater Martin Luther King, Jr. Center Neighborhood Coalition

·         Family Promise of Pinellas

·         Humane Society of Pinellas

·         Impact Program, Inc.

·         Meals on Wheels of Tampa

·         Rotary’s Camp of Florida

·         Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation (WWIA)
