Our Lady of the Assumption Soccer and Future Stars Soccer Academy to Host Summer Soccer Camp

ATLANTA - April 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Future Stars Soccer Academy (FSSA) and Our Lady of the Assumption Soccer (OLA) are pleased to announce they’ve partnered to provide an exceptional soccer camp experience to OLA players this summer, June 15-19, July 6-10 and July 13-17, at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, GA.

For more than 14 years, FSSA founders Jon Akin (current head men’s soccer coach at Oglethorpe) and Gilbert Jean-Baptiste have led high quality training sessions designed to equip aspiring soccer players with the technical, physical and mental tools to succeed.

All programs were created by former professional players and are taught by Future Stars staff with assistance from current and former college players. This level of professional expertise is what first attracted the leadership of OLA to the FSSA program.

“Future Stars Soccer Academy is an ideal opportunity for our OLA bobcats to receive additional training,”said Rob Aldrich, OLA Soccer Director. “For OLA players looking to improve their technique and tactical awareness during the off-season, FSSA, based at Oglethorpe University – which is right around the corner from us – is fantastic. We’re hoping all of our players will participate.”

An extra benefit of the partnership is that FSSA donates a portion of the summer soccer camp proceeds back to OLA to support scholarships for its members who require financial assistance to play the game they love.
