RALEIGH, N.C. - May 7, 2015 - PRLog -- "Statistics be darned," shouts the newly married Suzette Vearnon, known to the literary world as G-spot Author, Suzette R. Hinton.  Rattling off the most often quoted statistic, " Women over 40 are 'more likely to be killed by a terrorist' than find a husband," with a raised eyebrow and an irreverent head toss, the 55-year-old Mrs. Vearnon shared, "When I decided to start dating again, I made a decision.  I decided I didn't need everybody, just the right somebody."

And with that as her rallying cry, this woman over 40 squared her shoulders and marched into a landscape unlike one she had ever known.  Cell phones, texting, sexting were not part of the dating landscape in her day.  "It was very overwhelming," says this self-proclaimed Suzette of All Trades and Master of All of Them.  "When I asked my girlfriends--who were more familiar with the dating world--for advice, their outlook was so different from mine."

Nevertheless, there was something about online dating that she found intriguing. "Scarier than anything was putting up my profile.  Though folks tell me I look young for my age, the gray hair and undereye puffiness gave me away," says this drum major for authenticity.  "I ain't gon lie.  I tried to put up pictures where the lighting was good.  After a while, though, I decided that any man interested in me should know what he's getting."

And yes, despite all the thousands of younger, prettier and more accomplished women on the popular dating site, she got the man.  "It's been 4 months now," says Vearnon who, with just the mere thought of her husband, lights up like a Christmas tree. "If you count dating, it's been 4 years and 4 months", she clarifies.  "We dated our way to the altar and every single day since has gotten better and better."

So how did this African American woman with the statistics stacked against her find love?  She gives us a glimpse in her new audio, "How I Changed The Way I Dated And Got The Man."  With the story of how they met and insights that show a real grasp on the topic, Vearnon decodes the complexities that have left many women frustrated and disenchanted with dating.

Says Vearnon who adds that she is not a love guru or relationship expert, "The Universe wants to love you.  That's not changed by this lightning-speed world we live in.  No matter how young or how old, whether your notion of dating is a man coming calling (an old Southern tradition) or a Skype chat with someone who lives in another state, Love will find you if you're open."

When asked what her highest hope is for her newfound sense of purpose evident in her free audio and upcoming virtual workshop titled ENOUGH, she replied with introspective clarity, "I know that what happened for me, and I repeat for me, though it's nothing short of a miracle in my eyes, didn't just appear with a cloud of smoke.  I had to put myself out there.  Not the banging-my-head-against-the-same-brick-wall way but the I'm-looking-for-a-healthy-relationship-with-a-man way."

And it worked.
