About Dr. Somdutt Prasad

Dr Somdutt Prasad is currently a consultant ophthalmologist and retinal specialist at B.B. Eye Foundation, AMRI and i4vision. He is adept at the full range of medical and surgical retinal procedures from diagnosis to treatment. He has developed insights into the working of the pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing industries and the skills required to work with them.

On the clinical front, Dr Prasad has been an innovator and early adopter of new surgical techniques. This expanded the referral base of the unit with patients being referred in from across the country (UK) for specialized procedures.

He has also concentrated on training allied professionals to empower them to take on expanded roles. He has trained optometrists to undertake follow-up assessments for macular degeneration patients.
