Follow on Google News | German Center for Research and Innovation Releases Fifth Annual ReportAs the German Center for Research and Innovation (GCRI) celebrates its fifth anniversary, its mission remains focused on strengthening transatlantic collaboration in science and technology.
By: German Center for Research and Innovation New York In 2014, GCRI events continued to address the critical challenges of the 21st century, which include climate and energy, health and nutrition, mobility, security, and communication. GCRI has also led the transatlantic dialogue in areas such as entrepreneurship, higher education, manufacturing, and workforce development. This annual report explores key topics impacting society today with articles ranging from “The Common Language of Science” and “Planning for 2050: Creating Smart Cities of the Future” to “e-Health: Throughout 2015-16, GCRI will continue to pursue the goal of enhancing the perception of Germany as a world leader in innovation by facilitating discussion, debate, and collaboration among key constituents in North America and Germany. The 2015 areas of focus include ethics in science, e-health, aging, and robotics/artificial intelligence. In 2016, the GCRI will remain focused on AI/robotics, but also steer attention to the areas of neuroscience, Big Data, and smart sustainable cities. In so doing, GCRI will continue to facilitate dialogue on issues and topics of critical importance to the world in which we live.
