Brianna Cassisi Joins Ormond Beach Benjamin P. Butera Architecture Firm

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Aug. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Benjamin P. Butera is pleased to announce that they have added project manager Brianna Cassisi to their team.

“Brianna worked at an architectural design firm in Merritt Island for five years,” said Butera. “She has all the skills we are looking for and I’m confident she will be a great asset to our clients here,” Butera added.

Brianna was born in Florida and graduated from The University of South Florida. Her experience includes creating high-level site plan designs, 3-D residential and commercial architectural renderings, and Construction Documents utilizing AutoCAD, PowerPrint, and SketchUp. She executed all phases of building processes, from design conception to compilation of standardized Construction Documents for final “sign and seal.”

Brianna is the second female that has joined the firm within the past few months in a predominantly male dominated industry. “Only 16 percent of the AIA's (American’ Institute of Architects) membership is female, and despite the fact that approximately 40% of architecture graduates in the western world are women, not more than 12% are estimated to be practicing as licensed or registered architects,” said Butera. The Office of Science and Technology Policy, in collaboration with the White House Council on Women and Girls (http://www.whitehouse.gov/women), is dedicated to increasing the participation of women and girls in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by increasing the engagement of girls with STEM subjects in formal and informal environments, encouraging mentoring to support women throughout their academic and professional experiences, and supporting efforts to retain women in the STEM workforce.
