New Product: Around Voice-Activated Environmental Phone for Blind and Limited Mobility Users

TUCSON, Ariz. - Aug. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Assistech is pleased to introduce the Around Voice-Activated Environmental Speakerphone, the first landline phone on the market that is 100% voice-activated.

Around Phone is a welcome addition to the range of products for people who are blind or partially sighted, as well as those with limited mobility or hand dexterity issues.

Voice activation works from the get-go, allowing you to place a call, answer a call, and access other functions. As soon as the phone is plugged in, it starts to talk. For optional performance it’s recommended that the phone battery be charged for at least four hours before using.

Around works best with American English and may not work so well with other varieties of English. The phone listens to and responds to your voice commands. If you get stuck and don’t know what to say, simply ask “What can I say?” AROUND will give you a list of recognizable commands to choose from.

A talking Caller ID announces the name and number of incoming callers. Around features indicator lights and voice for each function.

Around also doubles as a speakerphone with a working range of 5 meters (16.4 feet) from the base. The wireless handset provides more freedom of mobility with a range of 15 meters (50 feet) indoors.

Up to 60 names and numbers can be stored in the phonebook. Other advanced features include: a talking clock, ring flasher, intercom mode between base and handset, and USB connector for personal data backup to a PC.
