Notice of Allowance Received from USPTO

BOSTON - Aug. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Emmy Medical, LLC announced today that the US Patent and Trademark Office has informed the company of a notice of allowance of claims for one of the company's key patent applications regarding its novel 4-Way urinary access catheter, CystoSure®. "This approval from the USPTO is a tremendous advance for Emmy Medical, both for our current product, CystoSure® and with regards to future products  we have in our pipeline," according to Ron Adams, CEO of Emmy Medical, LLC.

CystoSure®’s breakthrough innovation makes female cystoscopy safe, simple, and standardized.

By bringing physician-driven design changes to the standard 3-way Foley catheter, Cystosure allows OR, office, and bedside cystoscopy while at the same time accomplishing all the current functionality of traditional Foley catheters.  CystoSure®’s elegant solution is simple but it offers an effective approach to solving physicians’ challenges with cumbersome and time consuming cystoscopy.

Emmy Medical received FDA Clearance in Dec 2014 and initiated a limited launch of CystoSure® earlier in the year with plans for a broader launch of its second generation catheter in 2016. To date, the company reports usage of its proprietary diagnostic catheter in over 60 cases with 100% success in those cases.
