National Licensing Services Joins Forces With Cannabis Policy Experts Caren Woodson and Lauren Payne

LAS VEGAS - Sept. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- (Monday, Sept. 21) National Licensing Services (NLS) today announced that Caren Woodson and Lauren Payne, legislative policy experts who combined have over 17 years of experience in the cannabis industry in several different states, have joined the Las Vegas-based business licensing consulting firm.

         Woodson and Payne will help NLS clients stay in compliance with medical marijuana laws in various city and county jurisdictions as required by the State of Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

         Woodson has advised policymakers at all levels of government about moving marijuana from unregulated markets into safe, regulatory systems to ensure access to quality products by permitted consumers. She is familiar with a myriad of regulatory matters, from land use to banking. A native of Las Vegas, Woodson attended Bishop Gorman High School and received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

         Payne has been working on medical cannabis reforms for nearly a decade with various groups including Americans for Safe Access (ASA) and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). She attended law school in Boston, and performs legislative and policy workon behalf of patients, providers and the communities they live in.
