SJCAM SJ5000x Elite 4K Sony IMX078 Action Cam gets $149 Pricetag

NEW YORK - Sept. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- We just learned SJCAM will be releasing a new SJCAM SJ5000x called the Elite Edition. The SJCAM SJ5000x Elite Edition will have a full production run. As you probably know, the SJCAM SJ5000x Limited edition only have a limited production run of 1000 pieces.

Here are some Features that both the SJ5000x Limited & Elite editions share:

• SJ5000x adopts a 2.0-inch LTPS screen.
• Gyro Anti-Shake Stabilizer Sensor - this smooths the video when a movement or bump occurs
• Improved Lens - the lens is an upgrade from the other SJ5000 series cameras

The SJCAM SJ5000x Elite will have all of the same SJ5000x Limited Edition features yet add:

• Upgraded sensor from 12mp OmniVision OV4689 to a 16mp Sony IMX078 16mp sensor
• 4K Resolution Video Record @ 24fps and 2K @ 30fps (Limited Edition only had  2K Resolution Video @ 30fps (2560x1440P) and 60FPS (1920x1080P)
• Adjustable Wide-Angle View Lens - Adjustable between 170° 140° 110° and 70°(Limited Edition only had fuxed 170 degree view angle).

There will also be other SJCAM SJ5000x Elite improvements to the firmware and perhaps other functions added. The main thing that SJCAM fans are waiting for is the Sony IMX078 Sensor. This will enhance both Video and Photo quality.

The SJCAM SJ5000x Elite release date is scheduled for October 28 (or early November).

The SJ5000x Elite price will be the same as the SJ5000x Limited Edition which makes the Elite Edition even that much more of a bargain!
