Follow on Google News | Dr Somdutt Prasad Invited as a Speaker at the 31st Malaysia-Singapore Joint Ophthalmic Congress 2016Apart from presenting videos on cataracts, Dr Prasad will also conduct a nature photography master class.
By: i4vision Dr Prasad will conduct a presentation on “Video Symposium of Eye Surgery Complications (Cataracts)” at the Congress organized by the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology and supported by the Sarawak Convention Bureau. It is open to all ASEAN ophthalmologists. The presentation will be held on 6th March 2016 from 9:10 am. Dr Ronald Yeoh, Dr Cesar Espiritu and Clin Assoc Prof Caroline Chee will collaborate with Dr Prasad, who will also conduct a nature photography master class later in the day (2 pm). Several world-class ophthalmologists will attend the Congress that also offering social programmes like birding, frogging, golf and subsidized tours among others. About Dr Somdutt Prasad Dr Somdutt Prasad was initially trained in India at the University of Calcutta, followed by further specialist training in the UK in a range of units including Dorchester, Oxford, Wirral & Sheffield. His clinical interests include cataract surgery and vitreo-retinal surgery. He regularly lectures & instructs at local and international level. He has over 70 publications and 100 presentations to his credit. In 2008, he was conferred a Fellowship of the American College Surgeons. Amongst his honors are an Achievement award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an Honors Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has served on The Scientific Committee of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and co-chaired the Retina day programme for the Royal College. He is now based in Kolkata, India.
