Sterlite Copper conducts Bhoomi Pooja for Renovation of ICDS Centre

TUTICORIN, India - Nov. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper in association with the Government of Tamil Nadu has conducted Bhoomi Pooja for renovation of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Anganwadi Center in Puthiamputhur, Ottapidaram on 05.11.2015 to promote women and child health

Bhoomi Pooja was done by Mr I Rajashekar, Head - Business Excellence in the presence of Ms S Fatima, Project Officer - Department of Integrated and Child Development Service, Ottapidaram, Block. Mr R Ponraj, Panchayat President - Puthiamputhur along with children, various stake holders from village, traders and other associations, schools, NGO partners, volunteers and general public from the villages participated in the programme.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, in the sphere of Health, with a focus to Women and Child development, we have been promoting Child care through Khushi Centers benefitting children in the age group of 3-6 in 11 Centers benefitting 343 children to improve nutritional status along with education.
