A Holiday Season Tradition Returns to Southwest Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Nov. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Portland, Ore. - Get your family in the holiday spirit with a stroll down Storybook Lane.  Alpenrose Dairy and the Cadonau family, along with the 4-H Discovery Farm at Alpenrose open the grounds to Dairyville for this holiday tradition that has been around for decades.

Christmas in Dairyville is a winter wonderland filled with over 300 festive trees, live animals bringing to life the various scenes in Storybook Lane, modular train displays, old-fashioned movie screenings in the iconic Opera House, carolers and choirs singing the joyful sounds of the Christmas Season and holiday dance performances.

You can stroll the vintage storefronts of Dairyville, stop by the holiday gift shop, enjoy a cup of cocoa or hot apple cider as well as treat yourself to homemade goodies from the bakery.  And last, but certainly not least, stop by and see the big man himself, Santa! Whisper your Christmas wish and get your photo taken with him.

“As Alpenrose gets ready to turn 100 years old it means so much to our family to continue this long standing tradition,” said Tracey Cadonau McKinnon fifth generation Alpenrose dairy farmer. “Being a part of the community and giving back is very important to Alpenrose and we hope Storybook Lane brings some holiday cheer to everyone.”

Christmas in Dairyville will be open Fridays 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

·        December 11-13

·        December 18-20

Professional Santa photography will be available December 4-6, 11-13 and 18 20 from 10:00am-6:00pm and December 21, 22 & 23 from 10:00am-5:00pm

Proceeds from various sales at Storybook Lane will benefit several charities throughout Oregon including local 4-H programs.
