Follow on Google News | ![]() Actor/Comedian Bill Chott of "Wizards of Waverly Place" to teach at 3-2-1 Acting StudiosBill Chott is an actor, comedian, master improviser and acting coach. He is best known for his role as Mr. Laritate on the Emmy winning Disney TV Series, Wizards of Waverly Place.
To follow his dream of becoming a professional actor, Bill left his home state of Missouri in 1992, and headed to Chicago, IL where he quickly became involved with improvisational theater at ComedySportz, IO Theater, and the now famous Second City comedy troupe. His contemporaries in the Chicago improv scene included Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, and Bill toured the country with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler doing Improv shows. In 1995 he made his television debut on The Dana Carvey Show, among a cast that included Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell. His talent propelled him to appear in many popular TV series: ER, CSI, Third Rock from the Sun, Freaks and Geeks,Popular, Crossballs, Weekends at the DL, Wizards of Waverly Place, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, She Spies, and Monk. His film appearances include: Galaxy Quest, Dude Where's My Car, Marshall's Miracle, and he is best known in film for his work as "Thomas" in the top ten Farrelly Bros. film The Ringer. Bill has also done television work that includes national commercials for Ancestry.com, Amtrak, WebEx, H&R Block and he was a spokesman in campaigns for Checkers and Taco Time. He is a sought after voice-over actor, appearing as series regulars The Doorman and Hundley the Dog on Curious George on PBS and cartoons on Saturday Night Live. Forever an Improv actor, Chott continues to perform his mastery of Improv in various shows around the globe, including live improv, comedy festivals, charity events and more. One of Bill’s passions is to pass on his love of Improv acting to others. He does this by teaching Improv classes in and around Los Angeles and in his hometown of St. Louis Missouri. 3-2-1-Acting Studios is super delighted to welcome Bill Chott to the faculty.
