All-student Lawrence Middle School Jazz Band To Perform Holiday Program At Chatsworth Library

The Ernest Lawrence Middle School Jazz Band, the school’s Music Director Mark Wamhoff and local residents

WHAT?:

The Lawrence Middle School (LMS) Jazz Band under the direction of the school’s music director, Mr. Mark Wamhoff, will perform a special Holiday Jazz Concert hosted by the Chatsworth Library.

WHEN?:          Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

WHY?:

Under the direction of Mr. Mark Wamhoff, the all-student award-winning LMS Jazz Band has performed at local venues for the past five years. The elite 25-member LMS Jazz Band consists of a traditional big band instrumentation of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and rhythm section instruments. Members are selected through audition from more than 200 beginning, intermediate and advanced student musicians in the LMS music program. In addition, over the past ten years the acclaimed Lawrence Middle School Concert Band has received Superior ratings for performance and in-sight reading from the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association.
